At a time when sublimation transfer technology is developing rapidly, the technical requirements for quick-drying sublimation transfer paper have become the focus of the industry.

From the perspective of coating structure, quick-drying sublimation transfer paper consists of a base coat, a top coat, a back coat, etc. For example, some transfer papers have a base coat with an absorption layer structure that can accommodate ink solvents, and the top coat has an ink-supporting layer. Its microporous structure allows the sublimation ink solvent to be quickly absorbed, leaving most of the ink on the surface, which helps to improve the transfer rate. The back coat is used for leveling the finished paper to reduce the number of times the paper rubs against the ink head.

In terms of performance, there are many key requirements. The first is the drying speed, which requires rapid surface drying. For example, under ideal printing conditions, the surface drying time can be less than 5 minutes, which can meet the needs of direct winding during high-speed inkjet printing production, avoid the pattern from getting on the back of the paper and affecting the transfer effect, and reduce the scrap rate caused by uneven drying. The second is the transfer rate, which needs to be kept at a high level. Usually, the thermal sublimation transfer rate (color density method) should be greater than 84%, so that the pattern on the fabric after transfer is uniform, full, and has high color density. In addition, color uniformity is also very important. A microporous structure and a suitable coating can obtain a more uniform and consistent transfer pattern and avoid the pattern from blooming. At the same time, it must also meet certain strength, hygroscopicity and other requirements, such as hygroscopicity of 40-100g/㎡, good flatness, and no pollution to the fabric during the transfer process, so as to ensure that it can function stably in different application scenarios.
